Hazmat training is required not only for drivers who transport HM, but also for any employee who is whose functions include packaging, marking, labeling, preparing manifests, loading and unloading, dispatching HM employees or any other activity involving the preparation or transport of hazardous materials.

RCBEC provides training in Familiarization training (including emergency response), and Function specific training. An all inclusive 24-hr course is also available for employees who must perform in all hazmat functions.
Companies that have hazardous chemicals on sight may be required to develop Emergency Response Information, file MSDS reports and Inventory reports and meet other state requirements under the provisions of EPCRA.

Hazardous waste workers are required to receive 40 Hr OSHA training, and be recertified annually with an 8-Hr refresher course.
RCBEC can provide 8-Hr refresher training on site. Our CD based OSHA refresher training will be available soon.

NEW Drivers Training: New drivers (that is, commercial drivers that have just become commercial drivers), must receive training in logging and hours of service, driver qualification, driver wellness, and whistleblowers protection.
While there is no specified training requirement for transportation managers (aside from reasonable suspicion supervisor training), Transportation managers must be trained in many aspects of transportation in order to ensure company compliance with regulations. Since 1991 OSHA has required training in "Occupational Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens" for all employees who could be "reasonably anticipated" to face contact with blood and other potentially infectious materials as the result of performing their job duties, and are covered under the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030).
